I'm 22 years old and I've just finished my undergraduate years in college earning a Bachelors degree in Biology. What should I say about my self?? How about I start with how I became a frugal liver..
My mother raised my younger brother and I herself. She was an immigrant living in a new country, going to school, and trying to make ends meet with her two young children. We didn't have much money, but I never remember feeling inferior to others. My mother always did the best she could so that my brother and I would never feel like we didn't have what other kids had. She had a great sense of fashion and impeccable money management skills. Though we lacked financially, we never looked like it. She would go to garage sales and thrift stores and get the best quality clothes and furniture she could find. To this day... all the furniture in my bedroom are from garage sales. But if you walked in, all you would be able to think is how beautiful it is. With the frugality I gained from my mother along with my creative nature, I find ways to build my world to look like a million bucks.
Since entering college four years ago I gained more interest in fashion and beauty. However shopping like a star was impossible for me as a college student who only earned $7.25 by the hour, and could only work 19hrs a week. So instead of spending tons of money, I gathered my inspiration from style/beauty/lifestyle bloggers and aggusted it to where I could live in the same lush world with very little cost.. I love when people see something I'm wearing and gasp asking were I got it from, and when I say Walmart the expression on their faces is just bliss. It doesn't matter how expensive the things are, where they were bought, or what brand they are... it only counts how you put it together.
